Minor allegedly raped at gunpoint, brother brutally assaulted for going to cops

Pilibhit: A minor girl was allegedly raped at gunpoint in Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit. The victim's brother, also a minor, was brutally assaulted for taking the matter to the police.

The brother was on his way to register a complaint at the police station when he was attacked by four people. He was admitted to hospital in critical condition.

The 16-year-old victim was at home with her mother. The perpetrator – a resident of the same village – entered the house and threatened her to stay quiet and raped her. 

Four people have been charged with attempt to murder and rape under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) act. One of the accused arrested, said the police.
