Mainpuri election result 2022: The assembly election results for Mainpuri Vidhan Sabha, which is one of the four Assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri district, have come. Here BJP candidate Jayveer Singh has defeated his SP rival Rajkumar Yadav in a close contest. As per the ECI data, Jayveer Singh has secured 99,814 votes against his SP rival  Rajkumar Yadav who got 93048 votes. An official confirmation regarding the winner is yet to come from the SEC. 

According to the 2019 Lok Sabha poll data, 63.7% of the total voters in the Mainpuri Assembly constituency is rural population and 36.3% is urban population. There is a significant Yadav, Shakya and Rajput population in this constituency. As per local estimates, there are 21% Yadav, 15% Shakya, 11% Thakur, 8% Brahmin, 8% Lodh and 6% Muslim voters in this constituency. It is also one of the five Assembly seats that make up the Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency.

In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Rajkumar Alias Raju Yadav of SP won in this seat by defeating Ashok Kumar of BJP by a margin of 8831 votes which was 4.49% of the total votes polled in the constituency. SP had a vote share of 38.51% in 2017 in the seat.

In 2012, Rajkumar Alias Raju Yadav of SP won in this seat defeating Rama Shakya of BSP by a margin of 14209 votes which was 8.51% of the total votes polled in the constituency. SP had a vote share of 32.94% in 2012 in the seat.
