Jalesar election result 2022: The final results of the assembly election held in the Jalesar Vidhan Sabha, which is part of the Agra parliamentary constituency and Etah district in Uttar Pradesh, is still awaited. Here sitting MLA Sanjeev Kumar Diwakar of BJP is pitted against Samajwadi Party’s Ranjeet Suman. Here SP candidate Ranjeet Suman is leading by a small margin of 5129 votes. He has secured 46862 votes as compared to his BJP rival and sitting MLA Sanjeev Kumar Diwakar, who got 39541 votes. This seat is categorised as a Rural seat.

In 2012, Ranjeet Suman of SP won in this seat defeating Omprakash Dalit of BSP by a margin of 22569 votes which was 15.07% of the total votes polled in the constituency. SP had a vote share of 36.97% in 2012 in the seat.
