Lucknow: The Meerut Police has received anonymous letters threatening terror attacks in Delhi and eastern Uttar Pradesh, sending the security agency into a tizzy.

According to ANI, one letter was delivered to the Meerut Police by a disable man 'Nitin', which read: ''Our jihadis are out in three vehicles. One has reached Ghaziabad, while others will reach around 11 'o' clock. Save Delhi if you can. Don't take us lightly otherwise lakhs of people will suffer.''

Meanwhile, another letter was delivered to a constable stationed in a PCR van near Mangal Pandey locality by a middle-aged woman.

The constable later informed his seniors that the woman was asked by a youth to deliver the letter to the police.

The constable handed over the letter to the senior inspector who was also present with him in the PCR van. The officials came to know about the threat after the senior cop opened the letter.

The second letter, however, claimed that the armed Jihadis will set out on their mission at around 6, 7 and 8 am respectively.
