Close shave for Sakshi Maharaj as milk tanker hits his SUV

Etah: BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj on Tuesday escaped unhurt after his SUV was hit by a milk tanker in the Kotwali police station area here this morning, police said.

The BJP MP was on way to his ashram in Udetpur village from Delhi when his car, while taking a turn to Shikohabad road from the main GT Road, was hit by the tanker coming from the wrong direction, they said.

Though the MP from Unnao escaped unhurt, two motorcycle- borne men, who were passing by, suffered injuries, they added.

The MP's car was also damaged in the front, police said.

The driver of the tanker was taken into custody and was being questioned, they said.

The MP ,when contacted, said he was safe.
