BHU students set school bus on fire, damage private vehicles in clash with cops
According to reports, the protesting students pelted stones on the bus even as small kids were sitting inside.

Violence broke out on Wednesday between police and protestors after a student leader was arrested. Banaras Hindu University (BHU) student leader Ashutosh was arrested on charges of obstructing an IIT-BHU programme.
The protestors set a school bus, belonging to Delhi Public School, Varanasi, on fire during the clashes with police. According to reports, the protesting students pelted stones on the bus even as small kids were sitting inside. It was set on fire after the kids inside the bus managed to run away.
They also pelted stones and damaged dozens of private vehicles. In one of the pictures, the windshield of a car was broken possibly after being hit by a stone.

The student leader was arrested following a confrontation over a DJ night in the campus.
Reports said that students of Birla hostel shut the main entrance – Lanka gate – of BHU. They even cut the connection of CCTV cameras installed at the gate.
The students also reportedly attacked police personnel with bricks and stones.
