‘Naagin’ Mouni Roy posts a heartfelt note for Ekta Kapoor

Mumbai: One of Indian television’s most talented and prettiest actresses – Mouni Roy – is all set to make her presence felt in the world of celluloid. She will make her Bollywood debut this year with Akshay Kumar’s Gold. But there’s something that’s making her nostalgic.

Wondering what?

Mouni, who was the face of blockbuster TV show Naagin season 1 and 2, is no longer a part of the show. Producer Ekta Kapoor had announced that the show will now have someone else on board to play the lead character. And this has made Mouni nostalgic.

She took to Instagram to share a series of videos that were recorded with the show was being shot and even expressed her emotions by writing:

“I have been holding onto this emotion for quite sometime now. But its time to let go of something that holds a very large part of my heart. The show that gave me everything; Shivanya & Shivangi , embodying em was a privilege I was given by my @ektaravikapoor . Thank you maam , i shall always be thankful and they ll always be a part of me. My little land of make belief ~ Naagin 1 & 2. Anyone who knows me knows how attached i am with what i love. So without much ado i bid adieu. Waiting eagerly for the next season telecast & wishing the new team all my love & luck.

P.S this one s gonna be epic too

The first season of the show which went on air on November 1, 2015 also featured Arjun Bijlani and Sudha Chandran in pivotal roles, while the second edition which premiered on October 8, 2016 had Karanvir Bohra and Aashka Goradia on board besides Mouni and Adaa.

The supernatural series inspired by fictitious tale of icchadhari Naagin or snakes blessed with the power to take any form of life on earth, revolved around Shivanya / Shivangi (Mouni) and Shesha’s (Adaa) revengeful mission.
