New Delhi: Ace comedian Kapil Sharma hogged the limelight a few days back and the reasons were not pleasant ones. First, he went on a Twitter rant against a journalist and his former managers Preeti and Neeti Simoes, later his comeback venture 'Family Time With Kapil Sharma' went off air.

Kapil's much talked about venture 'Family Time With Kapil Sharma' failed to create the same magic like his previous hit shows and that led to a lot of buzz on social media. The game format comedy show didn't flag off as expected and was reportedly pulled out. All of this coincided with his abusive Twitter rant episode which not only shocked his fans but also threw light on his current state of mind. Several celebs, who have worked with him previously came out in his defence and supported him.

When asked about the whole issue earlier, Kapil told IANS, “I think I need some me time and need to recuperate. I've been working too hard for too long. There is a lot in the pipeline and lot of new exciting projects which I will talk about soon.”

Now, his on-screen wife Sumona Chakravarti aka Manju was quizzed about Kapil's new show and whether she thinks it would have been a hit as she is a 'lucky charm' for the actor. Sumona told Timesnownews.com, “Yes, main Kapil ki lucky charm hoon.”

The actress was not a part of 'Family Time With Kapil Sharma'. Sumona recently bagged the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for playing Manju brilliantly.

Here's hoping to see Kapil back on track soon!
