Aamir Khan's 'Satyamev Jayate' new season to open with MeToo movement?

New Delhi: After creating a storm in the West, MeToo movement has hit Bollywood. In the past few days, several biggies from the Hindi film industry have been named by fellow co-workers accusing them of sexual harassment. Celebrities such as Subhash Ghai, Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl, Rajat Kapoor and Kailash Kher among others have been accused as alleged sexual predators.

In the wake of MeToo movement, actors like Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar have taken a stand and refused to associate with the venture and the person in question till the time truth unfolds.

Aamir and wife Kiran Rao's joint statement came soon after MeToo campaign caught momentum. The actor backed out of producing Mogul, a film which was to be helmed by Subhash Kapoor, whose name had earlier popped up in a sexual harassment case.

Now, the buzz is strong that Aamir will return with the new season of his much talked about show 'Satyamev Jayate' in January next year. According to DNA, this time the show might address the issue of MeToo at work place. 'Satyamev Jayate' focusses on social issues and was well-received by the audiences.

Quoting a source, the report states that the show will open with the episode on MeToo movement. Previously, grave issues like female foeticide and rape have been discussed on the show.
