Chennai: DMK leader MK Stalin, Thursday, joined the voices seeking to know details about J Jayalalithaa's last days, especially information on the medical treatment.

The DMK demanded that the state government under Chief Minister O Panneerselvam release a Whit Paper on the death of 68-year-old pouplar . Stalin also urgen the NDA government at the Centre to provide a detailed report on the treratment given to her at Appolo Hospitals, Chennai.

The development comes days after a Chennai-based NGO filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Supreme Court demanding a CBI probe into 68-year-old Jayalalithaa's death.

The petition has also sought action to recover medical documents related to Amma's treatment at Apollo. The AIADMK leader, who was admitted to the hospital on September 22, died of cardiac arrest on December 5.

However, even when Jayalalithaa was undergoing treatment, questions were asked about the secrecy maintained by the Tamil Nadu. The entire second floor of the hospital was cordoned off during Jayalalithaa's stay at the hospital and only a select few were aloowed access to the then Chief Minister.

Last week, Tamil actor Gautami Tadimalla had also questioned the secrecy surrounding Jayalalithaa's ailment and the treatment provided to her. In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she questioned why nobody was allowed to meet Jayalalithaa at the hospital and who all were the people who took decisions regarding the treatment.
