Telecom subscriber base falls to 116.3 crore in May: TRAI

The telecom subscriber base had declined 85.3 lakh in April to 116.94 crore. Number of telephone subscribers decreased from 1,169.44 million at the end of April 2020 to 1,163.67 million at the end of May 2020. Urban centres recorded a decline of 92.3 lakh mobile subscribers, while the customer base in rural areas increased 36.2 lakh.

The mobile subscriber base declined to 115.19 crore at the end of Jan 2018 from 1,16.74 crore at the end of Dec 2017, down 1.33%.

Telecom customer base rises to 98.73 cr in Feb

Telecom subscriber base in the country increased marginally to 98.73 crore in February as compared to the previous month, as per the data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
