New Delhi: World No. 1 Novak Djokovic on Wednesday registered his 700th career win as he cruised past Malek Jaziri of Tunisia in the Dubai Tennis Championships.

And with the win, the Serb has advanced to the quarterfinals of the event.

Djokovic claimed a 6-1, 6-2 win over Jaziri. Now in the quarter's he will play against Spain's Feliciano Lopez for a spot in the last four, Sport24 reported.

Now, Djokovic has become only the third active player after Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to achieve such a feat.

On the occasion the 28-year-old said that "I`ve played a lot of matches and I`m very pleased and very proud of each win I`ve had." In fact to celebrate the success, the 11-time major winner Djokovic also cut a gluten-free cake.
