New Delhi: Second episode of the 'new era' SmackDown Live was held in Nashville, Tennessee.

All eyes were on Randy Orton after his shocking appearance on Raw. Did Brock come for him?

Here's what happened on August 2, 2016...

- Commissioner Shane McMahon had some tough words on offer for Orton after he stunned the Monday Night Raw audience with an attack on the returning Lesnar. Shane and General Manager Daniel Bryan inform Orton that it could lead to serious repercussions. There was a large security presence on SmackDown to make sure Lesnar did not get in revenge.

- Dean Ambrose made his way to the ring and called out Dolph Ziggler. The duo was interrupted by Bray Wyatt who clobbered Dolph. He then challenged the latter to a match. If Wyatt won, he would take Ziggler's SummerSlam slot and become number 1 contender instead. - Ziggler informed McMahon and Bryan that he was ready for Wyatt's challenge. The duo gave its approval and scheduled the contest. - Apollo Crews defeated Kalisto and Baron Corbin to become the No. 1 contender for WWE Intercontinental Championship. - Becky Lynch's scheduled match with Eva Marie did not happen as she appeared to have faked an injury. - American Alpha beat The Vaudevillains. - A.J. Styles made his way to the ring to talk about John Cena. The latter followed suit. Styles talked about how Cena didn't desrve to be in the WWE and took a jibe at his fans as well. He went on to challenge Cena, who agreed for a match. - There was a huge surprise during Orton's match against Fandango, as Lesnar showed up and exacted his revenge on the former. - Heath Slater went up to Daniel Bryan, asking for a SmackDown contract. The GM agreed and handed him a match with Rhino next week.

- As Carmella made her way to the ring, she was attacked by Natalya from behind.

- Ziggler defeated Bray Wyatt to retain his Summerslam slot.
