Former India hockey captain Pargat Singh physically assaulted

New Delhi: In a rather unfortunate incident, former India hockey captain Pargat Singh was left injured after being physically assaulted by a drunk man.

The incident occurred when Singh requested the person, who had parked his car on the road, to give him way.

On repeating his request, Singh was not only abused but also physically assaulted by the same man.

As a result of this attack, the hockey star sustained a fracture.

"A drunk person parked his car on the road,I just requested him to give us way. But when I again requested him to give us way, he verbally abused and attacked me. I also sustained fracture in my fingers. Action must be taken against the person," Singh was quoted as saying by ANI.
