Lallianzuala Chhangte: Five facts about India's wonder kid

New Delhi: 18-year-old Mizoram sensation Lallianzuala Chhangte made his name in the history books on Sunday when India beat Nepal in the SAFF Cup.

India thrashed Nepal 4-1 in their final group A clash as Chhangte won hearts with two sensational goals. Interestingly in this process he became the youngest Indian to score an international goal breaking former India skipper Baichung Bhutia's record.

India coach Stephen Constantine needs to be credited for drafting several youngsters in the team for the SAFF Cup. Constantine's vision for the future has helped the Indian side to a large extent as Chhangte in this process grabbed his opportunity with both hands.

1) Chhangte is a product of Liverpool's youth academy in India - DSK Shivajians Liverpool International Football Academy.

2) Chhangte has played in the U-19 I-League and also represented India in the same category.

3) On December 25, 2015, the Mizo player became the youngest Indian to feature for the senior team when they faced Sri Lanka in the SAFF Cup.

4) Chhangte will play for DSK Shivajians in the upcoming senior I-League season.

5) Chhangte broke Baichung's 19-year-old record.
