New Delhi: As the excitement level for the football fans reached its crescendo, the best of the players from football world couldn't hold onto their nerves.

After the scoreboard read 1-1 during Germany-Italy quarter-final during Euro 2016, the result was to be decided via penalties.

Not in their wildest dreams would the fans have imagined that it would turn out to be so bizarre.

As many as 18 kicks had to be used by both the teams to decide the semi-finalist of the mega event.
