New Delhi: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger came down heavily on Norwich defender Ryan Bennett for pushing Alexis Sanchez into the boards last weekend in a Premier League game.

Wenger blamed the positioning of the camera and said that the push "could have killed him [Sanchez]”.

“First of all, it’s dangerous to have a camera there,” Wenger said. “Secondly, he didn’t need to push him like he did. He could have killed him. I think the camera position was absolutely dangerous. When Alexis was pushed it did not shock anybody. Nobody suggested that he could displace his back or his hamstring. The injury can come from that as well.”

Chile forward careered into TV camera pit after the push on the touchline during the first half at Carrow Road. The former Barcelona star continued with the match, but was later forced off with a hamstring injury.

Wenger suggested the jolt may have caused the Arsenal forward’s subsequent hamstring injury, with Sanchez out for at least three weeks.

Moments ago, Mesut Ozil almost had a similar incident, with the German midfielder careered towards the photographers’ pit behind one of the goals.

In a match marred by injuries, Arsenal returned with a single point from the 1-1 draw. The stalemate also denied the Gunners a chance to go top of the table.
