New Delhi: India's most successful skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Wednesday achieved yet another feat as he equaled Australian great Ricky Ponting's record of leading the national team in 324 international matches across all formats.

Dhoni achieved the milestone while leading India in the 3rd T20I against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club.

Mahi, who was made skipper for the first time in 2007, has led India in 60 Tests, 194 ODIs and 70 T20 Internationals thus far.

Under his captaincy India have won 27 Tests, 107 ODIs and 40 T20I's.

As far as major ICC tournaments are confirmed, Dhoni has guided India to title triumphs in the World T20 (2007), the World Cup (2011) and the Champions Trophy (2013), besides leading the side to the top of the ICC Test rankings.

Dhoni had retired from Test cricket in 2014, but is still leading India in limited-overs cricket – ODI and T20I.
