New Delhi: Australian speedster Mitchell Starc on Sunday entered history books as he bowled a quick delivery which was clocked at 160.4 kilometres per hour (99.7 mph).
Starc, who was adjudged the Man of the Series in ICC 2015 World Cup, bowled a brilliant yorker to Ross Taylor on the third day of the second Test against New Zealand at the WACA Ground in Perth on Sunday.
While it was well blocked by Taylor, the cricket fans soon realised the pace at which it was bowled the moment they saw the speed on the giant screen and began applauding the pacer.

The delivery puts Starc in fifth place on the unofficial list of fastest bowlers ever recorded.
Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar holds the record with a 161.3 kilometres per hour delivery against England at Newlands in 2003.
While Australia's Shaun Tait and Brett Lee have been both recorded at 161.1 kilometres per hour in the past, Jeff Thomson, widely considered the fastest bowler in cricket history, once clocked 160.6 kilometres per hour.
