India vs Sri Lanka, 2nd T20I: Players to watch out for

New Delhi: After losing the opening T20I against Sri Lanka, MS Dhoni & Co have the last chance to keep the three-match series alive on Friday, when they lock horns with the visitors at JSCA International Cricket Stadium, Ranchi.

A batting collapse in Pune, while facing an inexperienced pace attack, emerged as the prime reason behind the shocking defeat.

Undoubtedly, unlike Indian tracks, the Pune pitch was a lively one, which offered pace and bounce to the seamers. But one can't run away with the fact that poor shot selection also cost India dearly as they managed to put up a paltry total of 101 runs, when offered to bat first.

Dhoni would want Men in Blue to put a good show in front of his home crowd.

On the other end, young Sri Lankan team would love to carry their good form in the 2nd game and try to seal the series.

Players to watch out for:

Rohit Sharma: In the absence of Virat Kohli, eyes would be on the opener, who got out cheaply in the first match. In the 2nd T20I, the in-form big-hitter, who had a fruitful series Down Under, would like to take the revenge from Sri Lankan bowlers. If he gets a start, he can easily destroy the Lankan bowling line-up. Capable of playing a big knocks, 'Hitman' can take the match away from the visitors single-handedly.

Kasun Rajitha: The young pacer has started his international career on a high. After a dream start in his debut match against India, the bowler has already become a household name in Sri Lanka. In the opening match, he created havoc in the Indian batting line-up by picking three wickets in his first three overs. All eyes would certainly be on the 22-year-old Matara-born pacer, when he takes the field in the 2nd T20I on Friday.
