New Delhi: Continuing with his personal series on national cricket teams, Shane Warne on Wednesday named New Zealand greatest Test XI of the past 25 years.

The legendary leg spinner named Stephen Fleming as the captain of the side, which also has the likes of Nathan Astle, Martin Crowe, Daniel Vettori and Shane Bond.

Sharing the Black Caps team, Warne reminded that the legends Richard Hadlee and Ian Smith were not considered as he didn't play against them.

Thanks for all the feedback re my test teams so far ! Here's my NZ team, remember I didn't play against Hadlee or Ian... Posted by Official Shane Warne on Tuesday, 22 September 2015

The 46-year-old then wrote, "Plenty of wonderful players I couldn't squeeze in! New Zealand has produced so many good players, Ross Taylor, (Mark) Greatbatch, (Craig) McMillan and (Jeetan) Patel were hard to leave out, as were many others."

Astle partners John Wright at the top of the order, with Andrew Jones, Martin Crowe and Fleming following up in the batting order. All-rounders Ken Rutherford occupies sixth spot, before wicket-keeper Brendon McCullum comes in at no seven, ahead of another all-rounder Chris Cairns at eight. Spinner Daniel Vettori is followed by Shane Bond and Danny Morrison.
