REVEALED: Why Chris Gayle donated World Twenty20 match fees to charity

New Delhi: After West Indies beat England to win their second WT20 crown, explosive West Indies opener on Monday hit out at WICB and WIPA.

With the ongoing dispute between players and board, the likes of Gayle are ineligible for West Indies’ ODI and Test side.

The Jamaican expressed his disappointment at the same and hoped to play more cricket in 2017.

Livid with the match fees paid by WIPA, the left-hander decided to donate it to a charity.

Gayle, who is expected to join RCB for the IPL soon, lauded skipper Darren Sammy for his powerful speech during the post-match presentation ceremony at Eden Gardens.
