Pro-wrestling is second most watched game in India after cricket, claims The Great Khali

New Delhi: Former WWE champion, Dalip Singh Rana, popularly known as The Geat Khali, feels that Pro-wrestling is the second most watched game in India.

“People in India are crazy about WWE, and now, WWE is getting attracted towards India owing to the sheer number of viewers in the country. I think pro-wrestling is the second most-watched game in India after cricket,” Khali told Times of India.

The champion wrestler, who is running his own wrestling academy in Jalandhar, wants his wards to outshine him.

“Many of those who have achieved a lot feel threatened by the fact that young talents will surpass their feats, and that's why they don't encourage them. I have a different theory. I want my students to outshine me,” added the 7-foot-2-inch giant.

Khali also tried to clear a doubt about WWE by stating that its all real. “...whatever you get to see on TV is completely real. The pain the fighters feel and the blood they shed are all real. The injuries that we sustain... I doubt that any sportsperson in the world would have received so many injuries.”
