New Delhi: Soon after Pranav Dhanawade hit a record-breaking 1009-run knock on Tuesday, the legends of Indian cricket wasted no time in hailing the 15-year-old's incredible knock.
From Sachin Tendulkar to MS Dhoni, from VVS Laxman to Sanjay Manrekar, the stalwarts of the game were left awestruck by Dhanawade's herculean effort.
Dhoni said that it was no joke to hit so many runs in a single innings.

Dhanawade on Tuesday entered history books, as he smashed 1009 runs in a single innings, making him the first batsman to do so in the history of the game.
The 15-year-old achieved this incredible feat in the Bhandari Trophy, an Under-16 inter-school tournament, at Union Cricket Academy ground in Kalyan.
The wicketkeeper-batsman got to 1000 runs off 323 balls. Dhanawade was unbeaten on 1009* when his team finally declared on 1465.
Son of an auto-rickshaw driver, Pranav amassed 870 runs from 59 sixes and 129 fours.
On Monday, he remained unbeaten on 652 thereby breaking the record of AEJ Collins who scored an unbeaten 628 in a club match in England in 1899.
