Naman Ojha hopes to make the trip for India's tour of West Indies

New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh wicketkeeper Naman Ojha has hopes of making the Indian Test team for its next assignment against the West Indies in the longest format.

Ojha who has played a solitary Test for India against Sri Lanka in 2015, feels he has achieved to follow certain standards that is needed to get into the side.

"You need to keep performing, you need to follow certain standards and I think last two-three years, I have achieved that..scoring runs in Australia..scoring runs in Duleep trpohy..double hundreds, hundreds, so I think that is the best thing, when you are (at) the top of your game and thats the best thing and then play for India," he stated.

Apart from his only Test match, his only ODI appearance was way back in 2010. ojha went on to say that it was the best moment of his life and cited one needs good skills to play for the national Test side.

"Yes, of course, I think it was the best moment of my life...I think everybody dreams to play for India and I think playing a Test match you need a skill.. you need good skills, you need hard-work and discipline.

Ojha also said that he is hoping things will fall into place as he has performed in the domestic season. "See I have my job is to perform. After that I came again in domestic circuit and performed in domestic season, I am hoping things will fall (in place).”

India's number one Test keeper is Wriddhiman Saha and Ojha quipped that he has a healthy rivalruy with the Bengal player.

"We have a healthy rivalry, I got my chance and I did really well, my job is to whenever I get chance, I want to do well...that is what my focus is."
