New Delhi: India produced a clinical performance over five days to register a comprehensive 246-run victory over England in the second Test to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series on Monday at Visakhapatnam.

Soon after debutant Jayant Yadav trapped James Anderson LBW for the last wicket of the match, Indians from all walks of life took to social media platforms to celebrate the win and congratulate Virat Kohli & Co on their emphatic win.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was one of the first persons to congratulate Team India. Here are some Twitter posts:

India needed eight wickets on Day 5 to beat England, and considering the brilliant batting display from the visitors, a hard fought final day was expected.

But the win came rather too soon, just after the lunch with Indian spinners once again weaving their magic.

Skipper Kohli was adjudged Man of the Match for his 248 runs, which included a brilliant 167 in the first essay.

The first Test at Rajkot ended in a high-scoring draw with as six batsmen scoring hundreds. The third match will be played at Mohali, starting November 26.
