New Delhi: A year after suffering a broken nose, thanks to a nasty Varun Aaron bouncer, Stuart Broad in 2015 admitted that he still have nightmares about the ball hitting him on the face.
Indeed, a frank admittance from one of the bravehearts of modern day cricket.
Here's how that happened.
In the fourth Test of the England-India 2014 series, Broad hooked Varun for successive sixes reaffirming his growing stature as a bowling all-rounder.
But the lanky batsman ran out of luck, and was hit by a nasty bouncer while trying to hit a third successive six. The ball stayed lodge in the helmet, but the damaged had already been done.
With blood profusely leaking from his nose, Broad left the field of play in England's first innings after 97.5 overs' play at Old Trafford.
X-rays confirmed the fracture, and Broad needed surgery. England were subsequently bowled out for 367, for lead of 215 over India.
Here's the VIDEO: Broad took 6-25 on the first day of the match to help England dismiss India for 152. England won the match by an innings and 54 runs.
