India vs England: Piers Morgan says Test cricket 'is dying', but no comment from Virender Sehwag

New Delhi: Celebrated British journalist and television personality, Piers Morgan on Saturday was left complaining with the poor turnout on the first day of India-England second Test at Mohali.

Known for his social media run-ins with former India opener Virender Sehwag, Morgan is not immune to making comments.

But yesterday, his complain seemed valid. He said that Test cricket "is dying", and evidently the PCA IS Bindra stadium which witnesses blockbuster crowds when India play ODI and T20 matches, looked a desolate place.

And he wrote: "Test cricket - and this breaks my heart - is dying. Day 1 of an India-England match, starting on Saturday, & the ground is virtually empty."

Former England batsman Michael Vaughan agreed with Morgan, and retweeted the post.

Considering their history, many expected Sehwag to make a statement on the current state of affairs vis-a-vis Morgan's comment, but he was busy doing live commentary.

Morgan was also not happy with the English team not accomodating Kevin Pietersen. The talented batsman, who is yet to announced his retirement from international cricket, is regarded as one of the greatest English batsmen.

He felt that KP's recall in England team is hindered by politics and egos.
