New Delhi: Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Wednesday hailed the young match winners Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah for overcoming a rough start to help India beat Bangladesh by one run in their Super 10 Group 2 match of 2016 ICC World Twenty20 in Bangalore.

"Somebody like Hardik or Bumrah, this was a first proper interaction with pressure and what pressure can really do. So I feel they must have learned a lot out of this game and these are the games that really make you better players because it pushes you to think in a different way," Dhoni said after the match.

After setting a target 0f 146 runs for Bangladesh, India played the second fiddle. But everything changed in the last three balls of the match. Until then, it was all Bangladesh.

Pandya, who made his international debut only this January, took two wickets of successive deliveries then forced a run out, which was done in emphatic fashion by the skipper himself, for the win.

Before that, an exceptional over from Bumrah have left India needing to defend 11 runs for a win. Bumrah, who had leaked 26 runs from his previous three overs, conceded six only in the penultimate over to give India an outside chance.

"It's not only the pressure of bowling. I consider him slightly weak when it comes to the fielding department and today's game was very important. We all knew how important it was. To start, the very first ball if you miss, as a youngster you are under pressure and I feel that actually reflected in his bowling also, then he dropped a catch," Dhoni said about Bumrah.

Then, the skipper turned to Pandya.
