ICC World Twenty20: South Africa vs West Indies – Players to watch out for

New Delhi: Nagpur will witness a clash of two heavyweights, between a carefree West Indies and extra cautious South Africa in their Super 10 Group 1 match of the 2016 ICC World Twenty20. The Windies, having won both their matches, are in a better position but the Proteas are a dangerous side with many a good number of match winners in their ranks.

Talking about match-winners, Chris Gayle has been declared fit and will open today. A fit and happy Gayle can to destroy any opponent single-handedly. Same is with AB de Villiers! When these two modern day legends turn up for the opposing team, it's always a treat to watch.

Here are five players to watch out for:

Chris Gayle (WI): He picked up an injury while fielding against Sri Lanka, and despite all his efforts to bat during the game, he was denied as West Indies cantered to a comfortable win. The 36-year-old will be ever more hungrier to bat and score big. By the way, he is still not out in the tournament after making that 100* against England.

AB de Villiers (RSA): With South Africa needing a win to keep themselves away from danger of elimination, AB will need to score runs. And when he scores, it comes in a rate. He scored a blistering 64 off 29. His form will be pivotal to Proteas' fortunes today.

Quinton de Kock (RSA): The opener is red hot now. He has scores of 52 and 45 so far in the tournament. All the 23-year-old needs is to convert those to big scores. Today just might be the day.

Dwayne Bravo (WI): The experienced all-rounder's role in the West Indies side is important for one simple fact. He wins matches with both bat and ball. SO far, thanks to a superior top-order form, he hasn't required to bat. But against South Africa, he may need to bat, and contribute some runs.

Dale Steyn (RSA): The fast bowler missed a match and looked pedestrian against England, leaking 35 runs from two overs. If South Africa habour any hope of winning the elusive World title, then the 32-year-old will need to join the party. A good outing against West Indies may well serve as the perfect appetiser for him.
