New Delhi: If few media reports are to be believed, then West Indian cricketer Lendl Simmons might replace injured Andre Fletcher in the semi-final clash of the ICC World Twenty20 against India.
The 2nd semi-final of WT20 between India and West Indies is scheduled to take place on March 31 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
However, it's still unclear whether Simmons will come as a back-up option for injured Fletcher or he would replace him.
Fletcher sustained a hamstring injury while batting during a dead rubber against Afghanistan on March 27.
Simmons would be a like-to-like replacement of Fletcher, as he is equally dangerous batsman at the top in the shortest format.
Simmons also has rich IPL experience, which could prove handy for West Indies in a crucial tie.
