It's done!

OVER 8.2 || SCORE 45/4; REVISED TARGET 152, 16 OVRS

Rain again!

Thunder and lighting in Dharamsala. No sign of play, as of now. In current situation, Bangladesh are ahead in D/L method.

OVER 7 || SCORE 41/2 (Jatinder 19; Ilyas 11); TARGET 181

Then, after seven overs' play rain arrived.

OVER 5 || SCORE 35/2 (Jatinder 16; Ilyas 9); TARGET 181

Oman have lost two wickets in the first five overs play, but a promising partnership between Jatinder Singh and Adnan Ilyas managed some damage control against a disciplined Bangladesh bowling attack.

Oman need 153 more runs from 90 deliveries. Huge ask.

OVER 20 || SCORE 180/2 (Iqbal 103; Shakib 17)

Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal became the first player to hit a hundred of the 2016 ICC World Twenty20. In the process, he also became the first Bangladeshi player to hit tons in all three formats.

He reached the hundred with a cover drive in the fourth delivery of the 19th over, bowled by Bilal Khan. It was the 60th ball Iqbal faced today.

Despite Khan's brilliant effort with the ball, Oman failed to contain Bangladesh.

In the last over, Bangladesh added 15 runs as Munis Ansari sprayed everywhere.

OVER 15 || SCORE 129/1 (Iqbal 73; Rahman 42)

It suddenly has become carnage. Tamim Iqbal, lucky and brave, has toyed with Oman bowlers, hitting all over the park. The Bangladesh opener become the first player of the tournament to crossed 200 runs. His scoring sequence so far: 83* vs Netherlands; 47 vs Ireland, 73* today so far.

And his partner on the other end, Sabbir Rahman is also playing ruthless cricket.

OVER 10 || SCORE 70/1 (Iqbal 37; Rahman 19)

After a cautious, slow start, Bangladesh started to find the gaps with relative ease. In the last five over, they have scored 46 runs just under 10 an over. In that period, they have lost a wicket, that of Souyma Sarkar, in the fifth delivery of seventh over.

WICKET: Soumya Sarkar b Ajay Lalcheta 12 (22b)

Since then, Tamim Iqbal and Sabbir Rahman increased the tempo.

OVER 5 || SCORE 24/0 (Iqbal 15; Sarkar 8)

Bangla Tigers are quiet today. Somehow the Oman bowlers have reign in the dangerous opening pair of Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar in Dharamsala.

Bilal Khan is effective. So far he has conceded only five runs in two overs' spell. And he has received brilliant support from Amir Ali and Ajay Lalcheta.

PREVIEW

It's the knock-out match. The winners will qualify for the next stage of 2016 ICC World Twenty20 and join Group 2 which already has hosts India, Australia, New Zealand and Pakistan; while the losers are going home.

Bangladesh, everyone knows, are the favourites to make it from Group A. But nobody would have thought Oman making it this far, and earning a shot to be among the Super 10 teams of the competition.

The group had Ireland and the Netherlands too and Bangladesh were supposed to get the fight from either of these two. But Oman scripted their own story, and are one match away from creating history.

This is the first Bangladesh-Oman match, and what a stage to start a new rivalry. And the only worry ahead of it, is the rain threat.
