New Delhi: Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli, who is in the form of his life has said that he tries to give his best on the field which is probably the reason behind his enormous success this year.
Speaking on the sidelines of an event, the Delhi batsman said that he is waiting to see whether his form will be the same when he returns to international cricket.
“I don't know whether the law of averages will catch up with me. Even I am waiting to find out what shape I will be in when I return to competitive cricket. The intention is to give 120 per cent when I am on the field. That's exactly what I will be trying to do. But then the results are not in your hand," Kohli was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
Kohli was the highest run-scorer at the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016, where he amassed 943 runs, including four centuries.
Kohli, along with other key players, have been rested for the upcoming Zimbabwe tour, where MS Dhoni will lead the side.
After the limited-overs series, India will play a Test series against West Indies beginning from July 6.
