AUDIO: Brendon McCullum reveals reasons behind his sudden retirement

New Delhi: New Zealand's trailblazing skipper Brendon McCullum on Tuesday shocked the cricketing world with his retirement announcement. 

The wicketkeeper-batsman will retire in February, after he competes in his 101st career Test.

What is baffling is why the explosive opener opted to call it quits a month before the ICC World T20 in India.

Considering his pedigree in the shortest format of the game, McCullum's decision to bow out ahead of the all-important tournament comes as a surprise.
