Asia Cup T20: Three reasons why Pakistan have slight edge over India

New Delhi: India have been playing exceptional cricket since the start of the year. MS Dhoni & Co have played seven T20I matches thus far, out of which they have won six.

After blanking Australia Down Under in the three-match T20I series, they beat Sri Lanka 2-1 at home. And then, India started off their Asia Cup campaign on a winning note by crushing hosts Bangladesh by 45 runs.

However, India will face their real test on Saturday, when they lock horns with Pakistan at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.

Though India are favourites to win the match, but there are few reasons which might give Pakistan a slight edge over in the match.

Best bowling attack: In the on-going Asia Cup, Pakistan certainly have the best bowling line up. In the form of Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Sami and Wahab Riaz they have four quality pacers. And if that's not enough, then, spinners in Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik are also there to put more pressure on the opponents.

Experienced campaigners: India vs Pakistan has always been a high-pressure game. And Pakistan have ample of players in their Asia Cup squad, who have played a lot of cricket against India in the past. From Mohammad Sami to Mohammad Hafeez to Afridi to Malik to Umar Akmal all know how to hold nerves, especially in such a high-voltage clash, which might give Pakistan a bit of edge.

Pakistan Super League: Most of the Pakistani players have been part of the recently concluded T20 league, PSL. It means that Pakistani players are already in T20 mode and could give India a tough fight in the slam bang version of the game.
