All eyes on MS Dhoni as Vijay Hazare Trophy starts today

New Delhi: Biggest player participating in the Vijay Hazare Trophy this time around is certainly India's limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

As the tournament kicked off today, all the eyes are on MSD, who is making a comeback in domestic cricket after a gap of eight-long years.

Dhoni is representing his home team Jharkhand, who are playing their opening match against Jammu and Kashmir in a group B game of the One-Day trophy from today.

However, Dhoni is not going to lead the side as he will play under the captaincy of India fast bower Varun Aaron.

The 34-year-old last played for Jharkhand in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match, way back in 2007.

He is playing Vijay Hazare Trophy to gear up for the hard and testing season ahead, which includes a limited-overs tour to Australia, T20 series against Sri Lanka, Asia Cup T20 followed by ICC World T20. One can't also rule out a short series against Pakistan.
