AB de Villiers hits fastest ever T20I fifty by a South African
AB completed his fifty in mere 21 balls against England in the 2nd T20I.
New Delhi: Record-breaking South African cricketer AB de Villiers on Sunday played yet another blistering knock against England in the 2nd T20I to create a new record.
AB completed his fifty in mere 21 balls and it became the fastest ever T20I half-century by a South African in the shortest format of the game.
While chasing a tricky total of 171, AB flicked Adil Rashid for a single towards square leg in the seventh over to reach the landmark.
Interestingly, earlier too the record was with AB, but in that knock he took 23 balls to reach the landmark.
However, Rashid ended South African Superman's blistering knock of 71 runs off 29 balls, laced with six boundaries and six sixes, in the ninth over.
