2nd ODI, New Zealand vs Sri Lanka: Players to watch out for

New Delhi: New Zealand will hope to set up another convincing victory against Sri Lanka after winning the first ODI by seven wickets.

The two sides gear up for the second ODI in Christchurch on Monday and it promises to be an exciting battle on the cards.

Sri Lanka are in desperate need of some fight after losing the Test series 0-2 before succumbing sheepishly in the first ODI too. The Black Caps will expect Sri Lanka to bounce back and overall this could set up the tie.

We look at one player from each side that could make the difference for their respective teams.

Brendon McCullum: Retiring New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum will look to set the tempo once again after playing a blinder in the opening ODI. McCullum's valiant and breezy 55 helped New Zealand get the momentum and once again his partnership with Martin Guptill up the order will be the key. McCullum's influence in the game will be of huge importance for the Kiwis given his decision making as a skipper and handling bowlers well.

Milinda Siriwardana: The all-rounder was a livewire for the Lankans in the first ODI. He was their main player who made some impact after scoring 66 and also being the pick of the bowlers with two wickets. Milinda's experience in domestic cricket reflects in his approach and the 30-year-old will look to fire once again for his side who are in dire need of some magic. Milinda's batting down at No.6 will hold key for Sri Lanka.
