New Delhi: After lauding the record-setting achievement of the Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) after its February 15 launch of 104 satellites aboard the PSLV, China has begun to up its efforts in the space race.

In an international airshow beginning on Tuesday in Australia, China will be showcasing its growing arsenal of rockets, in the first such demonstration abroad by the Communist giant.

Models of five Long March rockets will be displayed at the airshow, the first overseas appearance of the new-generation Long March-5 and Long March-7 launch vehicles, the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) said.

The Australian International Airshow will be held from tomorrow to Sunday in Avalon.

Long March carrier rockets are compatible with foreign satellites, said the CASC, adding that the rockets had provided commercial launch services for several countries including Laos and Belarus.

China now offers services such as exporting satellites, technology transfer, training and ground station construction, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
