4 killed, 3 injured in separate accidents in Kinnaur, Shimla

SHIMLA: Four people, including a mother and son, were killed and three others injured in separate accidents in Kinnaur and Shimla districts on Saturday.

The first incident took place in Kinnaur when a pick-up van rolled down a gorge in the Sangla area of Kinnaur district today, leaving at least three persons dead. 

The police said that the cause of the accident was unknown and the bodies were sent for postmortem.

The deceased were identified as Rajkumar, his mother Lakshmi, and Pradeep, residents of Chitkul village. 

In another incident, another person was killed and three others were severely injured when their car rolled 150 feet down into a ditch on the Wazir Bawali-Averi link road near Rampur in Shimla district this afternoon.

Saksham died on the spot, and Atul Thakur, Gujjan Negi and Abhishek were rushed to a hospital, Jagatkhana police station Incharge Jai Gopal said.
