BSF seizes over 12 kg heroin in Punjab
The contraband is valued at nearly Rs 60 crore in the international market.

Chandigarh: BSF troopers have seized over 12 kg heroin at two locations near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab`s Abohar sector, a BSF officer said on Monday.
The haul was made during a search ahead of the barb wired security fence, Border Security Force Deputy Inspector General R S Kataria said.
As much as 11 kg of the contraband was seized in Border Outpost (BoP) Dona Raja Deena Nath area along with four Pakistani SIM cards. The second seizure of 1.1 kg was made in BoP Jodhawala.
The contraband is valued at nearly Rs 60 crore in the international market.
The BSF has seized over 150 kg heroin in the Punjab sector this year.
Abohar is about 310 km from here, bordering Rajasthan and Pakistan. India shares a 553-km long barbwired international border with Pakistan in Punjab.
