Ageless MC Mary Kom still continues to boss around in the ring at the age of 41. She hinted at her retirement a day before but has gone back on the statement, saying she has not yet made it official. If Mary Kom had her way, she would have still played for 2 to 3 years. With new rule making it difficult for her to go on and on, Mary may retire soon. Mary still has the hunger to go on and on but a new rule on age limit has forced her to leave the ring. During the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, Mary Kom secured her first Asian Games medal, clinching a bronze in the flyweight division. Subsequently, she made history at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, by winning a gold medal. Mary Kom received the Padma Shri in 2006, followed by the Padma Bhushan in 2013. Notably, in 2020, the Indian government bestowed upon the Manipuri ace the prestigious Padma Vibhushan, which stands as the second-highest civilian award.
