KL Rahul and Athiya got married in January 2023. The wedding took place in Khandala and was attended by the bride and groom's closest friends and family members. 

Athiya is an actress, who is also daughter of Bollywood icon and actor Suniel Shetty. Some of the films that Athiya has done are Nawabzaade, Mubarakan, Hero and Motichoor Chaknachoor.

In February 2019, Athiya and Rahul met each other via a mutual friend. It is then that they became good friends and soon they started meeting each other on regular basis. The liking turned into love and after four years of dating, they decided to spend the rest of their lives with each other.

The lovebirds wanted a very calm wedding without, away from the buzz of the city. They decided to get married in a peaceful Khandala, at the lavish farmhouse of Suniel Shetty named 'Jahaan'. There was a cocktail party and Sangeet Ceremony along with Haldi an Mehendi followed by the wedding.

In December 2019, KL Rahul and Athiya posted their first pic together and that sort of put a stamp on their relationship. They had kept their relationship under wraps for almost a year.

While Rahul and Athiya were often seen together on social media, they made their first public appearance when the lovebirds came for the screening of Ahan Shetty's debut film Tadap.
