In this collection of photos, we will take you through five Indian cricketers who are extremely unlucky.

Sarfaraz Khan

Sarfaraz Khan

Consistent Sarfaraz Khan continues to be ignored despite scoring tons of runs in domestic cricket. Sarfaraz has been in massive form for the last 3 Ranji Trophy seasons. In the 2019/20 season, he scored 928 runs at an average of 154.66. In the 2021/22 season, he smashed 982 runs at an average of 122.75. In the ongoing 2022/23 season, Sarfaraz is in tremendous form, having scored 801 runs at an average of 89.

Sanju Samson

Rishabh Pant's unfortunate accident helped Sanju Samson get back into the side, however, at the same time when Sanju needed to score big runs he got injured and was ruled out of the Sri Lanka and New Zealand series.

Karun Nair

Karun Nair

After Virender Sehwag, Karun Nair became the second batter in Indian cricket history to register a triple century in 2016, when he did so against England. But misfortune followed him. After recording a triple century, he was not included in India's starting XI for the following game. A batsman who scores a half-century will typically be a little braver and earn a spot in the side for the following game. Nair, who hit a triple century by himself, was not included in the starting XI. Most likely, there have never been events of this nature in cricket history.

Ambati Rayudu

Ambati Rayudu

Before the 2019 World Cup, Ambati Rayudu performed admirably and almost achieved his goal. However, Rayudu was abruptly removed from the team because the selectors preferred a three-dimensional player. The World Cup, however, resulted in injuries to the players. He was already a standby player, but the selectors chose not to include him in the squad. He sadly bid international cricket adieu with that. In the World Cup semifinal, India lost a talented player like Rayudu. His desire was also dashed.

Wasim Jaffer

Wasim Jaffer

The Legend of Domestic Cricket refers to the outstanding Mumbai batsman. The most runs ever scored by a batsman in domestic cricket, he amassed 14609 runs while representing Mumbai in 186 first-class matches. In addition, he averaged 53.70 in his first-class career and hit 46 hundreds. In 31 Test matches after making his India debut in 2000, Wasim Jaffer amassed 1944 runs at an average of 34.11 runs. So it was a respectable record at the time. Jaffer is playing for India at a difficult time for the team, though. Jaffer had exhausted his options at that point. Due to the constant player turnover, he gave in to his position on the club. Despite having an amazing batting technique, his international career was cut short by terrible luck. Wasim Jaffer is thought to be one of India's unluckiest cricketers.
