Tewatia does a Tewatia: Wins the game for Rajasthan

2/13

Rahul Tewatia repeated his heroics in the game. (Remember his knock against Kings XI ?) While Parag and Tewatia both finished on similar scores, It was Tewatia who came up with all the clutch shots. He hit three consecutive fours of Rashid Khan's 18th over - who was bowling magnificiently on the day.

He followed it up with a four and a six from the next over bowled by Natarajan - who also had been very economical up until that point. He remained unbeaten on 45 (off 28 balls; 4x4, 6x2).

Rajasthan Royals were rattled and looked done and dusted after losing thier fifth wicket. The score read 78-5 from 12 overs when the duo of Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia got together with a big job in-front of them.

The duo started their innings slowly on an extremely slow track but slowly got going. They took the match deep and engaged in  a match-winning 85-run partnership which put a full stop on Rajasthan's losing run of four games. Parag scored 42* (off 26 balls; 4x2, 6x2) while Tewatia scored 45*

SRH's Rashid Khan dismisses both Samson and Uthappa

4/13

After losing three early wickets, Sanju Samson and Robin Uthappa steadied the ship somewhat with a 33-run stand. But the wily Rashid Khan put paid to any such plans by dismissing both of them. He first removed Robin Uthappa, trapping him infront.

He followed it up by sending back the dangerous Sanju Samson on the final ball of his third over. Samson had no answers against a brilliant wrong one from Rashid and was caught behind after getting a thick edge.

SRH on top after picking three early wickets

5/13

Rajasthan Royals were rattled as they lost three early wickets. Stokes dismissal early on was followed by skipper Steve Smith getting run-out after a terrible mix-up with Buttler.

The early onslaught by the SRH bowlers was complete when Buttler departed just three balls later. It was Khaleel Ahmed who dismissed the dangerous looking Buttler caught behind.

From his first two overs, Khaleel had figures of 2-0-14-2.

Rajasthan's gamble to send Stokes to open doesn't work

6/13

Rajasthan Royals, in a strange yet exciting move, sent Ben Stokes to open the innings with his compatriot Jos Buttler. The move, though, didn't pay-off as Stokes was bowled in the second over by Khaleel Ahmed.

SRH post a competitive total of 158/4

7/13

SunRisers Hyderabad posted a competitive total of 158/4 thanks to Manish Pandey and David Warner's anchoring knocks.

Kane Williamson (22 off 12) and Priyam Garg (15 off 8) scored 35 runs from the final two overs to take their side to a very competitive total on a painfully slow track at Dubai.

Manish Pandey scores a composed half-century for SRH

8/13

On a painfully slow pitch, Manish Pandey played a brilliant knock of 54 (off 44 balls; 4x2, 6x3). He did well to take his time initially, settled in nicely and then went for his shots on a difficult pitch. His 73-run partnership with Warner set the tone for his side's competitive total.

SRH skipper David Warner leads from the front

9/13

After the slow start for SRH, where they also lost Bairstow, Warner engaged in a composed 73-run partnership with Manish Pandey and slowly came into his own - he uped the ante and ensured that SRH were hitting atleast a boundary in each over. He was finally dismissed in the 15th over by Jofra Archer for a well made 48 (off 38 balls; 4x3, 6x2).

Sanju Samson's brilliant catch dismisses SRH's Jonny Bairstow

10/13

In the 5th over of the innings, Jonny Bairstow was dismissed by youngster Kartik Tyagi. He had just hit Tyagi for a huge six over square-leg and tried to play the exact same shot again but this time he miscued and Sanju Samson in the deep took a brilliant diving catch. Bairstow was visibly frustrated with all the tight lines that the Royals bowled earlier and was inching to go big. The wicket was result of some very tight bowling earlier on.

Jofra Archer keeps things tight for Rajasthan Royals

11/13

Rajasthan started off the game with some brilliant bowling. Even though Bairstow and Warner ensured they didn't lose their wickets, they had no option but to go over the top against the Rajasthan bowling attack.

Jofra Archer gave away just 3 runs in his first two overs with SRH ambling along at pedestrian pace, reaching a paltry 6/0 in three overs which was followed by 13/0 in the first four - putting a lot of pressure on the SRH opening duo of Warner and Bairstow.

Ben Stokes returns for Rajasthan Royals

12/13

SunRisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bat first.

Rajasthan Royals were boosted by the return of star all-rounder Ben Stokes - who had only landed in Dubai around a week back. Stokes inclusion was widely expected even though he hasn't played since August. Rajasthan desperately needed his services after losing their last four games on the trot. A

Along with Stokes - Riyan Parag, Robin Uthappa and Jaydev Unadkat also came back into the starting XI.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mahipal Lomror, Andrew Tye and Varun Aaron all missed out.

13/13

SunRisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bat first against Rajasthan Royals at the Dubai International Stadium.

SunRisers Hyderabad made just one change to their playing XI from their last outing. They brought in Vijay Shankar to replace youngster Abdul Samad. SunRisers started the game at the fifth position in the points table and had comprehensively won their last game against Kings XI Punjab by 69 runs.
