Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bat first against KL Rahul's Kings XI Punjab in Match 36 of the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.
While the defending champions are currently standing at the second spot in the eight-team points table with six victories from eight matches, the Punjab franchise is languishing down at the bottom of the standings with just two wins in hand.
