Supergisly enough India pacer M Shami has not played a single T20I since the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Shami has been sidelined once again even after an excellent display of bowling in the IPL 2022.
Shreyas Iyer
Shreyas Iyer has played 10 T20Is in the year 2022 and has scored 220 runs with a strike rate of 121 which also includes a fifty. He could be a great backup option for Suryakumar Yadav.
Sanju Samson
Sanju Samson made his T20I debut way back in 2015 but he has just played 16 matches so far. Indian team mangement never gave him enough opportunities. In the year 2022, Sanju played six matches where he scored 179 runs with a great strike rate of 158 and an average of 44. He also scored his maiden T20I fifty this year.
Kuldeep Yadav
Unlucky Kuldeep Yadav made comeback to the Indian squad after exceptional bowling in IPL but was ruled out of the South Africa series due to injury then he had to go to NCA for rehab. Now after playing just one game in the West Indies series he is out of the T20I side again.
Ishan Kishan
Ishan Kishan was part of India's World Cup squad last year. He was the backup opener but now with KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma back in the squad, Ishan could not find a place.
