Washington Sundar
The off-spinning all-rounder Washington Sundar failed the Yo-Yo Test right before the squad for the T20Is vs Australia was to be picked in 2017 and he missed out the chance to earn a call-up. He however worked hard on fitness and came back to play Sri Lanka series atr home.

India's ace pacer Mohammed Shami was replaced in a last-minute squad change by Navdeep Saini. The reason was the he had failed the Yo-Yo Test. But Shami did clear it a month later and made comeback to the national team for the England series.
Yuvraj Singh
Ahead of a series vs Sri Lanka in 2017, Yuvraj Singh was surprisingly dropped from the team. The reason was not clear but later it was revealed that Yuvraj had failed the Yo-Yo test which had become a compulsion in the Virat Kohli captaincy era. Yuvraj worked hard to eventually clear the test.
Sanju Samson
In 2018, when the India A squad for tour of England was announced, Sanju Samson was a part of it. However, Ishan Kishan replaced him very soon as Samson had failed in the Yo-Yo Test and got dropped. Samson cleared the Yo-Yo Test a month later and came back to the India A squad and also returned to the senior side a year later.
Ambati Rayudu
A solid show in IPL 2018 landed India call-up for Ambati Rayudu but he failed to perform to the standards in Yo-Yo Test and eventually lost his place to Suresh Raina. He did clear it and came back to play the 2018 Asia Cup.
