India Vs China Bullet Train: Bullet trains are often seen with admiration across the world for their sheer speed, stability and facilities that match aircraft carriers. Bullet trains are used in many countries to cover long-distance routes in a shorter period. India is also implementing its first bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad with the help of Japan. Now, China has unveiled the world's fastest train CR450 which can reach a speed of 450kmph while its commercial speed will be around 400kmph.

The CR450 is faster than the current CR400 Fuxing trains, which have a maximum speed of 350 km/h. The Japanese bullet train which is coming to India will have a maximum speed of 320kmph while the operational speed will be around 260kmph.
Delhi To Bihar In 3 Hours
The CR450 can cover a distance of 1,000km between Delhi to Patna in 2.5 hours while that of Mumbai to Ahmedabad in around 1.15 hours. It can reach Delhi to Varanasi in just two hours. However, the Japanese system will take two hours to reach Mumbai to Ahmedabad and around 3.5 hours to reach Delhi to Varanasi.
Luxury Facilities
The train has luxury reclining seats which beats the aircraft in terms of facilities. The train also features economy and business class coaches. There are private compartments, a multi-purpose room, a modern pantry, CCTV cameras, reclining seats and a state-of-the-art toilet.
Testing and Optimization
China Railway plans to conduct extensive line tests for the CR450 prototypes. Technical parameters will be optimized to ensure readiness for commercial operation.
Train Models
There are two CR450 prototypes: CR450AF and CR450BF. Both models feature an eight-car configuration with four powered and four non-powered carriages.
Traction and Stability
Equipped with a water-cooled, permanent magnet traction system for advanced performance. High-stability bogie system enhances safety and operational reliability.
Comprehensive Safety Features
The trains have multi-level emergency braking systems for enhanced safety. Over 4,000 sensors for real-time monitoring of critical systems, including fire detection, train control, and car body systems. Over-the-horizon recognition system for better emergency response.
Aerodynamic Design
The CR450 has a new bogie enclosure design that reduces air resistance at high speeds. It has a streamlined, sharp-nosed front with aerodynamic windshields. It uses lightweight materials to improve efficiency and performance.
