The updated Swift is designed in an evolutionary manner, keeping intact its familiar design traits. The floating roof and rounded edges with a wider bottom and narrower top are still in place on the new 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift. It looks substantial and fresh, but it remains easy to identify it as a Swift.

The tail lamps are still chunky and squarish. The boot lid is fairly small and the loading lip is seemingly high. Nevertheless, the Swift exudes a sporty character with some upmarket essence from its rear fascia. The integrated spoiler on the tail gate is a touch that appeals the most to us.

Interesting design elements like the L-shaped LED DRLs packed in smoked-out headlamp assembly elevate the style quotient. The grille is larger and finished in a piano-black scheme. Practicality has taken a step higher on the Swift now, with rear door handles moving back to their original place.

Of course, there will be a multitude of variants on offer. The base-spec trims would come with steel wheels and fender-mounted indicators. The top-spec variants could get up to 6 airbags, in addition to an advanced driver assistance suite.

The powertrain on the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift will not be carried over from the outgoing model. A new Z-series 3-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine will be used, instead. Mileage figures stand at 23.4 kmpl and 24.5 kmpl for non-hybrid and hybrid variants, respectively.

The wheelbase of the Swift is not increased, but it is expected to be packaged rather tightly for better interior space. Also, the hatchback will get features likes LKA, emergency collision warning, and driver attention warning.
